For the 13th consecutive year in the period 26 – 27 August in Bansko will be held a festival for opera and classical and music “Bansko Opera Fest”. In this year’s edition State Opera Varna will present the musical “Grease” and the opera “Romeo and Juliet”.

Watch the charming Ilina Mihaylova as JULIET and the talented tenor – Arthur Espiitu as ROMEO, in a new and very exciting reading of the director Ursula Horner and the conductor Svetoslav Borisov.
The dramatic history of Capulet and Montague we will see in the performance of the soloists of varna opera: Deyan Vachkov, Ivo Yordanov, Svilen Nikolov, Maria Pavlova, Ventseslav Anastasov, Plamen Dimitrov, Boris Lukov, Michaela Berova, Silvia Angelova, Geo Tchobanov, Velin Mihaylov, Petar Petrov, Hristo Ganevski, Lev Caravan, Lachezar Aleksandrov, as well as an orchestra, as well as a choir of the State Opera Varna.

For the first time in Bulgaria Rock & Roll musical in the style of the 50s, will meet us with the iconic “greisers” and their characteristic, smoothed back hair! We will hear the favorite songs again and enjoy the dances of wayward teenagers!
The director Srebrorina Sokolova and the conductor Stratsimir Pavlov have entrusted the roles of SANDY and DANNY, interpreted in the film of the same name by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, to the charming Varna talents – Lily Ilieva and Velin Mihaylov, who are worthy reincarnated in the images of the famous stage couple!
