For the fifth year in a row, the International Cycling Race On the Steps of the Romans 2022 will be held. The jubilee tournament will take place on two consecutive days – on weekends, 03 and 04 September 2022.
Thanks to the good ratings that the organizers receive from the International Cycling Union for the past tournaments, Bulgaria will again host the meeting between such strong procontinental, continental and national teams from all over Europe and the USA.
More than 15 nationalities will take part – Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, USA and others.
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at exactly 3:00 p.m., the contestants will leave the Hot Springs Hotel, and the official start will be given at 3:15 p.m. to the Razlog Municipality building. The participants will travel over 120 km in about 3 hours, in 8 tours along the route Banya – Razlog – Bansko. The official awarding of the winners of the first stage will take place on the same day, on stage in razlog’s workshop from 6:30 p.m.
The final second part of the international cycling competition starts the next morning again in the town of Banya, in front of the Hot Springs Hotel at 10:00 a.m.
The official start of the tours will be given at 10:10 a.m. in the city. During the first competition day, the organizers, together with razlog municipality, will also hold festive programs in the center of Razlog with the participation of local children’s club teams in cycling, football, volleyball, takwondo, folklore associations, etc.
In addition to being an international cycling competition, the Competition Forum, with the help of which the organizers have been able to promote Bulgaria as a year-round tourist, spa and balneo destination for five consecutive years.
