Snowboard World Cup 2023

Bansko will host for the third time the Snowboard World Cup – FIS Snowboard World Cup and FIS Snowboard Alpine Junior World Championships, For the third time under Todorka peak, the best snowboarders will compete, five seasons after Radoslav Yankov’s unforgettable victory in the Snowboard World Cup in front of a native audience in bansko ski center in 2017 and 4 years after the last Snowboard World Cup organized by the Bulgarian Ski Federation. During the 2022/2023 season Bulgaria and Bansko will host again – not only FIS Snowboard World Cup, but also FIS Snowboard Alpine Junior World Championships (parallel disciplines).

The grandstand of the final, located on Banderishka Polyana, against the background of the picturesque nature of Pirin, is expected to be filled to the limit due to the participation of the star Radoslav Yankov and the young talents in the snowboard, headed by the bronze winner in the parallel slalom of the youth world in Valmalenko, Italy – Tervel Samfirov.

In the upcoming winter season Bansko will also accept another start from the Alpine Skiing World Cup at the end of February in 2023. The great honor for our popular winter resort in Bulgaria and abroad is not a surprise after the perfectly conducted races on the slopes above Banderishka Polyana in recent years.
