Cultural evenings “Traditions and Art” in Bansko

For the seventh year in a row during the high summer season, the project CULTURAL EVENINGS “TRADITIONS AND ART” will diversify the stay of tourists by storing and uniquely presenting the local traditions, customs and folklore.

Residents and guests of the city, including children, will have the opportunity to observe and learn to spin, twist, carving, pottery, face sculpture, knitting pods, crochet needle, making souvenirs from fabrics, demonstration of Bulgarian embroidery, etc. The weaving of robbery and Museum “Velyanova House” It is also one of the attractions in the program.

Saturday’s demonstrations will be accompanied by folklore groups from Bansko Municipality while demonstrating the local musical wealth.

Tamboura and folk dances and folk dances will be held every week for those who are passionate about folk dances and music at Nikola Vaptsarov Community Center.

For inquisitive tourists are provided one-day info tours to the archaeological attractions in the vicinity of Bansko, as well as in the museum sites.

Visiting a museum no longer includes only a walk around the exhibits, but also opportunities for active participation of young and grown-up children in interesting activities. Educational interactive games “Children in the Museum” will introduce children to cultural values.

Every Thursday in the Tourist Information Center will be screened films about Bansko and the swimwear artists, representatives of the spiritual and literary world.

The Program Cultural Dinners “Traditions and Art” reveals not only the spirit and traditions of Bansko but also emphasizes its modernity by presenting every week exhibitions of local artists and craftsmen, representatives of contemporary art. They transform the lobby of the Tourist Information Center and will organize exhibitions of themes painting, energy paintings, abstract art, graphics, Bulgarian embroidery, carving, artistic forging, art processing of wood and woodwork, etc.

The beginning of this year’s traditions will be set on July 2 /Friday/ with a demonstration – carving. Anyone who wishes to get acquainted with the intricacies of this craft can do so from 17:00 in the lobby of the Tourist Information Center, under the guidance of Nikolay Kulin.

On Saturday afternoon follows an interesting demonstration – knitting pods and a demonstration of Bulgarian embroidery. Starting at 17:00.

The musical accompaniment will be from a mixed folklore group “Pirin Voices” Dobney, 6 p.m.

On the second floor of the Tourist Information Center is launched an exhibition of abstract art “Connotations”– by Donna Atanasova, which will last until July 6/Tuesday/ inclusive.

In her exhibition “Connotations” you will be able to explore her abstract art, jewelry, glass, and textiles, in which the artist has put all her love and positivity.
